Our Center is Growing
Expanding Our Mission
The Yates Community Center was created to provide a central, year-round space where everyone in the community can come together and access affordable wellness programs.
That’s why, with the help of our supporters, we’re expanding our center to include a new 35,000 sq ft facility with events and programs that will help us continue to best serve our community!
Did you know that 56% of Yates County’s total population doesn’t have adequate access to physical activity locations?
The limited programming offered in our community, either due to geographical or financial limitations, makes it critical to build a location that offers wellness activities all year round.

Outdoor Spaces and Activities
From our vibrant playground and scenic walking trail to our dynamic pickleball and basketball courts, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.
Walking Trail
Our scenic 3.1 mile walking trail winds through lush greenery, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Enjoy leisurely walks, jogging, or simply soaking in the natural beauty. With well-marked paths, Dogs are welcome on leashes!
Basketball & Pickleball Court
Our outdoor courts are open to the public daily for recreational use from 12:30 pm to 7:30 pm, offering opportunities for basketball, pickleball, and tennis. Nets and equipment are available for free use as well.
Community Playground
Featuring swings, slides, climbing structures, and more, our playground caters to children of all ages and abilities, promoting physical activity and imaginative play.
