Cyanotype Nature Art
467 North Main Street, Penn Yan 14527
Discover the magic of sunlight and nature in this creative outdoor art experience! Participants will begin with a guided nature walk to collect interesting leaves, flowers, grasses, and other natural treasures. Then, we’ll use special sun-sensitive paper to create beautiful blue-and-white cyanotype prints.
As the sun works its magic, children will learn how early photographers used this unique process to create images long before digital cameras existed. Each participant will leave with their own one-of-a-kind nature-inspired artwork and a deeper appreciation for the beauty found outdoors.
This hands-on program combines art, science, and nature exploration in a fun and engaging way that’s perfect for curious young creators. Best of all, a snack will be provided as we enjoy a relaxing break and share our creations with friends!
