Passport to Flavor: A Global Cooking Adventure
Pack your apron and your curiosity—it’s time to travel the world through food!
The Passport to Flavor cooking series is a unique collaboration between Milly’s Pantry, Moonshadow Kitchen, the Yates Community Center, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, designed to inspire young chefs through hands-on cooking, nutrition education, and global flavors.
Classes will be held in the commercial teaching kitchen at Milly’s Pantry (21 Main Street, 2nd Floor) from 3:00–5:00 PM, with the final class running from 3:00–6:00 PM. During the final session, families will be invited to enjoy a delicious meal prepared and served by their young chefs as they celebrate everything they’ve learned throughout the series.

This program is perfect for children who want to develop or strengthen their cooking skills while building confidence, independence, and lifelong healthy habits. Throughout the series, participants will learn essential kitchen techniques, food safety, meal preparation, teamwork, and nutrition, discovering how wholesome ingredients can fuel both body and mind.
Each class features recipes inspired by different culinary traditions, giving participants the opportunity to explore flavors from around the world. Together, we’ll journey through American favorites, Asian-inspired dishes, Mexican-inspired cuisine, and European flavors, including fresh pesto and other classic recipes, while learning about the cultures that make each dish unique.
Whether your child is just beginning their culinary journey or already loves spending time in the kitchen, Passport to Flavor offers a fun, welcoming environment where creativity, curiosity, and confidence can grow—one delicious recipe at a time.
